The Benefits Of Fennel Juice

A common ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine, fennel has a mild sweet flavor. The fennel plant is a pale green or white bulb with green stalks and fine leaves similar to its cousin, dill. The leaves, stalk, bulb, and seeds are used in cooking. Fennel is added to juice and food for its flavor and the many health benefits it provides.

    I LOVE juicing fennel, Rich. But it’s an herb, not a vegetable so treat it as such. Just use very little say 2 stalks and a 1/4 of the bulb for 2-3 glasses of juice … at least that’s what I like 🙂

    I have been on a juice fast for 16 days now. Well, it is almost a fast. I get weak in the evenings and have been eating avocados, or the occasional handful of seeds. Anyhow, I am loving the juicing of my healthy greens and tomorrow is going to be my first day trying the addition of fennel. Thanks for the ideas, but I am going to try my own concoction. I just thought of it because it is what I have in the fridge –
    – red swiss chard, brussel sprouts, parsley, fennel, orange, cranberries, and pomegranate!

    Wish me luck…just kidding…. I haven’t had a combination of juice ingredients taste bad yet, you just have to balance the sweet with the almighty green!
